NAACCR invites you to submit abstracts for oral or poster presentations at the June 2026 NAACCR Virtual Conference: True North: Aligning Data, Discovery, and Impact.

We welcome submissions from colleagues, health professionals, and students interested in cancer surveillance, research, and registry operations. All submitters whose abstracts are accepted must be available to present virtually on June 23-25. The day and time will be determined in the Spring of 2026.

Abstract Submission Deadline: January 15, 2026, 11:59 PM ET.

The 2026 NAACCR Virtual Conference will allow attendees to share ideas and learn from national experts in cancer surveillance, cancer registry operations, and cancer research. Sessions will explore emerging topics in cancer surveillance from multiple perspectives in North America. Contributors are encouraged to submit an abstract in one of the following suggested topic areas:

1. Enhancing the Impact of Cancer Surveillance
1a. Advances in timely collection and release of cancer surveillance data
1b. Innovation in data use methodology
1c. Leveraging partnerships and collaborations
1d. Collection and use of molecular data for surveillance

2. Epidemiologic Studies Using Cancer Surveillance Data
2a. Studies of rare cancers
2b. Using real-world data from cancer registries to improve cancer outcomes
2c. Cancer in special populations (e.g., children, AYA)
2d. Geospatial Studies
2e. Other epidemiologic studies

3. Informatics and Interoperability in Cancer Surveillance
3a. Solutions to improve efficiency
3b. New and emerging methods of data collection
3c. Advances in use of artificial intelligence
3d. Advances in interoperability with EHRs

4. Data Collection, Tools and Operations 
4a. Data quality control and standards
4b. Innovative operations and procedures
4c. Overcoming issues with data sharing
4d. Innovative solutions in pathology and non-hospital reporting

5. Other Relevant Topics

COLLABORATIVE SESSIONS

Authors are encouraged to consider the submission of a collaborative breakout session focused on a specific topic. These sessions should have 3-4 speakers from different registries/organizations. If you are interested in collaborating with others to present a themed breakout session, please indicate this in the respective text box upon submission. 

PRESENTATION FORMAT

• Oral Presentation - Oral presenters must submit their presentation slides and a recorded presentation. More information on oral format etc. will be provided with the acceptance notification. 

• Poster Presentation – Poster presenters are required to submit both a poster video and a PDF version before the Conference. Detailed guidelines on the poster format and other specifications will be provided with the acceptance notification. Please note that if your abstract is accepted as a poster and you submit both the video and PDF by the deadline, you will be eligible to participate in the poster competition.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

• The conference will be held in a virtual-only format.
• Although presenters will be submitting their video presentations ahead of time, they will be required to attend their session live to respond to questions.
