Funding international studies, especially observational studies, can be challenging. Especially if those studies seek to recruit a sample that is broadly nationally representative of the country or a region in the country. This has been our experience in the SUNRISE International Study of Movement Behaviours in the Early Years. Despite this challenge, several countries have succeeded in being able to resource the Main Phase of the study by incorporating several novel strategies. In this session, the PIs from a number of countries will share how they managed to resource the study in their country. The speakers will represent low, lower-middle, upper-middle, and high-income countries. Their experiences will be helpful for any researchers considering large-scale studies involving several regions in their country.
This session is open to all delegates.
