Welcome to the Abstract Submission Portal
NAACCR invites you to submit abstracts for oral or poster presentations at the NAACCR Annual Conference in June 2025.
We welcome submissions from colleagues, health professionals, and students interested in cancer surveillance, research, and registry operations. All submitters whose abstract is accepted must be available to present on June 3-5. The day and time will be determined in the Spring of 2025.
Abstract Submission Deadline: January 15, 2025, 11:59 PM ET.
The 2025 NAACCR Annual Conference will allow attendees to share ideas and learn from national experts in cancer surveillance, cancer registry operations, and cancer research. Sessions will explore emerging topics in cancer surveillance from multiple perspectives in North America. Contributors are encouraged to submit an abstract in one of the following suggested topic areas:
1. Building the Future of Cancer Surveillance
1a. Advances in timely collection and release of cancer surveillance data
1b. Using minimal datasets or partial records
1c. Leveraging partnerships and collaborations
1d. Preparing the workforce for the future
2. Epidemiologic Studies Using Cancer Surveillance Data
2a. Social determinants and cancer disparities
2b. Using real-world data from cancer registries to improve cancer outcomes
2c. Cancer in special populations (e.g., children, AYA)
2d. Other epidemiologic studies
3. Informatics and Interoperability in Cancer Surveillance
3a. Efficiency solutions for cancer registries
3b. New and emerging methods of data collection
3c. Advances in use of artificial intelligence
3d. Approaches to support interoperability with Health IT
4. Data Collection, Tools and Operations
4a. Data quality control and standards
4b. Innovative operations and procedures
4c. Overcoming issues with data sharing
4d. Innovative solutions in pathology and non-hospital reporting
5. Other Relevant Topics
Authors are encouraged to consider the submission of a collaborative breakout session focused on a specific topic. These sessions should have 3-4 speakers from different registries/organizations. If you are interested in collaborating with others to present a themed breakout session, please indicate this in the respective text box upon submission.
POSTER COMPETITION
If your abstract is accepted as a poster, you may enter the poster competition. To qualify for the poster competition, you must submit both a poster video and a PDF prior to the Conference as well as present a printed poster (new poster size is max. 48" wide x 36" high landscape) at the Conference. The award winners will have their videos presented during the Conference and must be available for live Q&A afterward. More information on poster format etc. will be provided with the acceptance notification.
