Coal Harbour is a charming mix of business and residential, right on the water’s edge. Around this area you’ll find locals and visitors mingling on the Seawall, neighbourhood cafes and restaurants, a popular marina, and the odd harbour seal bobbing around and greeting passersby.


A culturally rich and authentic neighbourhood, Commercial Drive - also known as The Drive - is one of the best and most colourful shopping, dining and nightlife districts you will find in the city. Trout Lake. On Saturdays from May through to October, the park is home to an excellent farmer’s market – the perfect place to grab a light breakfast while you browse the stalls. 


Established back in the 1890s, Chinatown has been humming busily for more than a century with vivid colours, exotic cuisine and a vibrant culture. Vancouver’s Chinese population originally made the journey to work in local mines and build the Trans-Canada railway. Rich in history and architecture, this area boasts North America's third-largest Chinatown after New York and San Francisco.


Vancouver’s oldest neighbourhood, Gastown, seamlessly combines old with new, history with the way forward. Today, the district retains its historic charm and independent spirit with a picture-perfect collection of old buildings, cobblestones, the Steam Clock, and vintage lampposts. 


Kitsilano is just over the Burrard Bridge from the downtown peninsula. The neighbourhood brings together a collection of attractions, beaches and parks, and plenty of healthy, organic and farm-to-table restaurant options. The neighbourhood plays host to a number of community festivals over the course of the summer as well as being the venue for the Bard on the Beach Shakespeare festival.


Lower Lonsdale is one of North Vancouver’s oldest and fastest-growing urban neighbourhoods, with views of Vancouver’s stunning downtown skyline to the south and soaring North Shore Mountains to the north. The Shipyards Distract is a hub of independent shops, restaurants, the newly opened Polygon Gallery and the free Shipyards Night Market in the summer and only a 12 minute seabus ride away from Downtown Vancouver.


With BC Place Stadium at one end, Stanley Park at the other, and the city’s best-known shopping precinct in between, Robson Street is a must-stroll. Being right in the heart of the downtown core, you’ll find yourself walking right alongside locals on their way to the office, or one of the numerous restaurants that cover this international strip. 

A gateway to Stanley Park, The West End is bordered by the park on one side, as well as English Bay, Granville and Robson Streets and is one of the easiest neughbourhoods to get a taste of how a real Vancouverite lives. Along the Seawall in English Bay, you’ll find Vancouver’s famous inukshuk statue, which inspired the logo for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games as well as the famous 
A-maze-ing Laughter sculptures.


Yaletown is one of the city’s chicest neighbourhoods, filled with residential loft spaces, sidewalk cafes, cool restaurants, unique shopping, and leafy park. Walk, jog, bike or inline skate along the Seawall and you’ll find plenty of locals doing the same and enjoying the excellent public art sprinkled along the waterfront.
